Pictured (L-R) are Virginia Roseman, Travis Southers, Dave
Davis, Pam Scarborough, and Mary Moretz. Davis is an actual descendant of Daniel Boone, who hunted
the area in the late 1700s and is namesake of the Town of Boone. Roseman said Boone's original
birthday was Oct. 22, but changes to the Gregorian calendar during Boone's lifetime moved it to Nov.
