The Watauga County Sheriff's Office has charged a Boone man in connection to a sexual abuse case.

Gary Andrew Long, 41, a resident of the High Country Inn, was charged Friday with incest with a child age 13-15 and statutory sex offense with a child age 13-15.

The investigation was coordinated with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office (Tennessee).

Long is in custody at the Watauga County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Dec. 3 in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
