Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated person at 10:14 a.m. on the 100 block of West King Street. A report of fraud via worthless checks was reported at 3:33 p.m. at University Nissan on U.S 421. Breaking and entering was reported at 4:18 p.m. on the 200 block of Oak Street. Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 5:15 p.m. on the 500 block of Highland Avenue. A video game console, assorted games and accessories were reported stolen. Arrest: Matthew Tester, 19, of 209 W. Vaught Lane, Mountain City, Tenn., was arrested at 7:08 p.m. on charges of possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal damage to property, resisting arrest and aggravated assault on an officer. Oct. 17 Officers responded to an attempted suicide at 12:40 a.m. on the 100 block of Kimberly Drive. Officers responded to a reported dog bite at 7:56 p.m. on the 500 block of Stadium Drive. Larceny by shoplifting was reported at 8:33 p.m. at Old Navy in the Boone Mall. Various clothing items were reported stolen. Motor vehicle theft was reported at 11:51 p.m. on the 800 block of Meadowview Drive. A Yamaha motorcycle was reported stolen. Arrest: Charles Hunter, 50, of 510 Cherry Drive, Boone, was arrested at 6:46 p.m. on charges of hit and run and driving while impaired. Oct. 18 Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at 6:25 a.m. on the 1700 block of N.C. 105. Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at 3:21 p.m. on the 100 block of Appalachian Street. Larceny by shoplifting was reported at 6:08 p.m. at Food Lion of Old U.S. 421. A 24-pack of beer was reported stolen. Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at 6:43 p.m. on the 1100 block of Blowing Rock Road. Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 7:02 p.m. on the 200 block of Shadowline Drive. Cigarettes were reported stolen. Criminal damage to property by vandalism and larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 8:25 p.m. on the 1600 block of Blowing Rock Road. Make-up was reported stolen. Criminal damage to property by vandalism and larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 8:46 p.m. on the 200 block of Shadowline Drive. A CD case with assorted CDs was reported stolen. Arrests: Austin Morrow, 24, of 296 Keith St., Fleetwood, was arrested at 7:27 p.m. on charges of larceny by shoplifting, larceny from a motor vehicle and breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. He was also served with warrants at 11:30 p.m. on charges of criminal damage to property by vandalism, larceny from a motor vehicle and breaking. Anthony Anderson, 28, of 120-C Candle St., Jefferson, was arrested on charges of larceny and breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. He was also served with warrants at 11:30 p.m. on charges of criminal damage to property by vandalism, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, and larceny from a motor vehicle. Derek Anderson, 27, of 503 Greenbrier St., Apt. 3, West Jefferson, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. on charges of criminal damage to property by vandalism, larceny from a motor vehicle and breaking and entering of a motor vehicle.
