Fraud was reported at 5:13 p.m. at BB&T bank on N.C. 105.

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 5:21 p.m. on the 200 block of Rhododendron Lane. A laptop computer was reported stolen.

Aug. 22

An incident of communicating threats was reported at 1:50 a.m. on the 2200 block of Blowing Rock Road.

An incident of an underage person attempting to purchase alcohol, larceny by shoplifting, possession of alcohol by an underage person and resisting arrest was reported at 2:28 a.m. at the Wilco Hess on East King Street. A 12-pack of Busch beer was reported stolen.

Breaking and entering was reported at 3:24 a.m. on the 200 block of Queen Street.

Officers responded to a suicide at 3:46 a.m. on the 300 block of West King Street.

Larceny was reported at 10:37 a.m. on the 200 block of Oak Street. A laptop was reported stolen.

Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated person at 11:06 a.m. at the AppalCart shelter on Faculty Street.

Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at 12:57 p.m. on the 200 block of Queen Street.

Arrests: Charles Sanders, 16, of 438 Hodges Gap Road, Boone, was arrested at 2:28 a.m. on charges of resisting arrest, attempt to purchase alcohol while underage, larceny by shoplifting and possession of alcohol by an underage person.

Michael Berry, 21, of 152 Beebe Road, Ilion, N.Y., was arrested at 3:01 a.m. on a charge of drunk and disruptive behavior.

Walter Stiehm, 23, of 607 Belle Ridge St., Wilkesboro, was arrested at 3:24 a.m. on a charge of breaking and entering.

Thomas Clark, 36, of 139 Patton Lane, Boone, was arrested at 4:20 a.m. on charges of larceny by shoplifting and simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.

Donnell Nicholson, 61, of 351 Russells Ford Road, Chapel Hill, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. on charges of failure to stop at a steady red light and driving while impaired.

Aug. 23

Officers were called to check a person at 12:20 a.m. on the 300 block of Ridgewood Drive.

An assault on a female was reported at 3:49 a.m. on the 100 block of Pine Street.

Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at 12:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Park Street.

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 3:45 p.m. on the 1100 block of Blowing Rock Road. Two cameras were reported stolen.

Gustavo Gonzalez, 22, of Bluegrass Drive, West Jefferson, was arrested at 4 a.m. on a charge of resisting a police officer.

Dustin Solieau, 23, of 522 Blowing Rock Road, Apt. 21, Boone, was arrested at 3:49 a.m. on a charge of assault on a female.

Jorge Hernandez, 23, of 285 Wood Circle, Apt. 2, Boone, was arrested at 5:35 p.m. on a charge of improper left turn and driving while license revoked.
