Moe at Legends
Moe will perform Nov. 5 at Legends on the ASU campus. Presented by APPS Concerts. Progressive rockers, Moe, make their return to the Appalachian campus. This quintet made up of two guitars, bass, drums and percussion, have been making their mark on the music industry since the late 1980s. They have produced 17 albums, toured worldwide and dubbed a "legendary jam band" by Rolling Stone. Check them out at moe.org. This is a BYOB event. High Country Cyclocross Series
High Country Cyclocross Series features weeknight off-road bicycle racing at the fully lighted High Country Fairgrounds. "It's great for beginners and kids," a spokesperson said. It's held  6-9 p.m. every Thursday through Nov. 19 at the High Country Fairgrounds, 748 Roby Greene Road, Boone. Angel Food boxes
Brushy Fork Baptist Church in Vilas is taking orders for Angel Food boxes at the church Monday through Thursday through Nov. 5 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and on Thursday evening Nov. 5 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Special boxes of assorted meats or fresh fruit/veggies may be ordered with or without the purchase of a standard box. Avery County Rotary Club
