Full Time QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer information technology, management information systems or other information technology related field, to include course work in local or wide area computer networks, from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Two years of experience planning, integrating and maintaining software and hardware for local or wide area computer networks.
Licenses and Certifications: Microsoft networking certifications preferred. Other networking certifications are also desired such as Cisco, SANs, virtualization, etc, preferred. MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Provides workstation support on various system needs such as Microsoft® Operating Systems, Network Configuration, PC Hardware, Business application software, Microsoft® Office products, and telephony equipment with a major emphasis on networking and campus connectivity. Designs, specifies, configures, installs, and maintains local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, printers, servers, routers, switches, cabling and Internet connectivity. Performs network administration functions to include assessing and resolving problems arising from server hardware, workstation network connectivity, and Microsoft server operating systems. management using diagnostic tools. Identifies and reviews key baseline statistics for network monitoring. Analyzes network performance on a routine basis, identifying any potential problem areas. Will maintain and support enterprise WiFi network and Active Directory servers and plan for future campus growth as it pertains to network connectivity. Prepares and maintains technical documentation and procedures related to the campus-wide network including, but not limited to hardware inventory and user requests. Review and consults on requirements for systems hardware and network purchases. Works with users to develop specifications to meet specific applications. Provides user support, training and technical assistance. Assists in set-up, installation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software. Performs other related duties as required. RESPOND TO:
