Watauga's wrestling team falls to Freedom

Watauga's wrestling team just missed on beating Freedom, but fell to the Patriots 37-36 in a Northwestern Conference dual match held at Lentz-Eggers Gym Wednesday.
The larger weights came through with some big victories for the Pioneers. Jeremy Critcher (195 pounds), Jacob Rutz (220 pounds) and heavyweight Jeramiah Wooldridge all won their matches by pinfall.
Demetre Kostis won his match at 132 pounds by pinfall, and Mark Townsend won his match by pinfall at 120 pounds. At 106 pound, Alex Wetmore won by forfeit.
Watauga wrestles at Hibriten on Friday and then in a dual team tournament at Wilkes Central on Saturday.
