Watauga's girls LAX team falls 17-7

KERNERSVILLE -- Watauga's girls' lacrosse team lost 17-7 to Bishop McGuiness Friday night on the road.
Watauga trailed 12-4 by halftime. Ellie Sloboda finished
with four goals and one assist to lead the Pioneers' offense. Courtney Kapral
added two goals and two assists, and Katie Marks scored one goal.
Goalkeeper Meghan Bisignani had 11 saves, and Sarah Williams had one save in eight minutes in goal for Watauga.
"The girls played well and are improving," Watauga coach Holly Quick said. "We are having to play very young, inexperienced girls for most of the game. They will get there."
Watauga plays at West Forsyth on Tuesday.
