Watauga's boys' tennis team drops St. Stephens

Watauga's boys' tennis team cruised past St. Stephens 8-1 in a Northwestern Conference match Thursday.
Watauga (7-2, 4-0 NWC) won five of the six singles matched, and all three of the doubles matches against the Indians. Three Watauga players -- Dristen Trate, Will Spinetto and Josh Lampkins won their matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Brody O'Neal won his match 6-1, 6-0.
Landon Taylor, Watauga's top seeded player, won his match 6-3, 7-5.
Watauga had equal success in doubles. Taylor teamed with Trate to win at No. 1 doubles 8-2. Spinetto and Lampkins rolled to an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles, and Watauga's No. 3 doubles team of O'Neal and Zach Archer won 8-4.
Watauga hosts Fred T. Foard on Tuesday.
