WHS girls' lacrosse team smothers Hopewell

Watauga's girls' lacrosse team cruised to a 14-3 victory over Hopewell at Leigh Wallace Lacrosse Complex Tuesday.
Watauga led 6-2 at halftime, and allowed Hopewell to score just one goal the rest of the game. The Pioneers got 12 saves from sophomore goalkeeper Keirsten Henson.
Courtney Kapral, Katie Marks and Elle Sloboda, all sophomores, scored three goals each for the Pioneers. A pair of seniors -- Addy Kincaid and Taelor Critcher -- each scored two goals. Carly Moser added the other goal.
Critcher, Moody and Kali Scott
each added an assist.
Watauga is scheduled to host Lake Norman on
Friday. The boys' team is slated to play at Freedom on Friday.
