WHS boys' tennis team drops Hibriten

Watauga's boys' tennis team claimed a 6-3 victory over visiting Hibriten Tuesday at Watauga's courts.

Watauga won four of the six singles matches, all in straight sets. Harrison Battle won his No. 2 seeded singles match 6-1, 6-1 over Hayden Smith, while Dristen Trate beat Will Haas 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.

Caleb Gould picked up a victory at No. 4 singles by beating Mikeal Anderson 6-2, 6-0. Josh Lampkins beat Isaac Tuttle 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.

Trate teamed with Gould at No. 2 doubles to beat Smith and Tuttle 10-4. Will Spinetto and Noah Moomaw added a 10-4 victory over Anderson and Jon Bamgarner.

Watauga plays at St. Stephens on Thursday.
