Stewart gets first double-double for Emory & Henry

Emory & Henry freshman outside hitter Hannah Stewart collected 15 kills and 13 digs defensively to lead the Wasps to a 3-0 victory over Greensboro at the Cougar Invitational at Averett University.
It was Stewart’s first collegiate double-double. Stewart was a standout outside hitter for Watauga’s volleyball team in 2011.
Later in the day, Former Watauga middle blocker Nicole Tesh had 10 kills in Emory & Henry’s 3-2 win over William Peace. Stewart added 10 kills and 13 digs for the Wasps.
Emory & Henry plays Friday at Hollins University’s tournament. The Wasps face Virginia Intermont College at 1 p.m., and then play Gettysburg College at 5 p.m.
