The Appalachian Rollergirls are finally going to skate a home match at home.
The Rollergirls, who have had two home matches in Hickory, return to the Holmes Center on Aug. 9 to face the Carolina Bootleggers. The bout begins at 5 p.m.
The Rollergirls are coming off a victory over the French Broads of Asheville in a bout in Hickory on June 7. They also fell by just 14 points to the Rouge Rollergirls of Fayetteville in another match during the season.
Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance. They can be bought at Café Portofino's, Lucky Penny, Woodlands BBQ and Piedmont Federal Savings Bank. The proceeds from the match will benefit the Blue Ridge Conservancy.
Tickets are $12 at the door. Children under 10 get in free.
