ASHEVILLE -- Watauga's girls' soccer team lost 7-1 to A.C. Reynolds in the Pioneers' season opener Wednesday.

Tristin Derrick scored Watauga's lone goal, which was at the 39-minute mark in the first half.  Watauga trailed 5-1 by halftime.

The Pioneers play at home against Forbush Friday night, weather permitting.
