Price, Lott reinstated for game with Montana

Appalachian State receiver Sean Price and defensive back Jamill Lott were reinstated for the Mountaineers’ game Saturday against Montana.
Both players were suspended by head coach Jerry Moore for the Mountaineers’ game at East Carolina on Sept. 1 for a “violation of team rules.” Moore said they would also be suspended for the game against Montana after ASU played at East Carolina.
However, Moore decided Thursday to reinstate the two players, and instead suspend them for either ASU’s game at home against The Citadel on Sept. 15, or at Chattanooga on Sept. 22.
"Our policy for the specific rule that these two players broke specified that the player misses two of the first four games of the season, with the games chosen at my discretion,” Moore said “We made them sit out of the season opener, which I felt was the right thing to do to send a strong message, and I fully intended to have them sit out this week as well. But after giving it more thought, I felt that they learned a lot from having to miss the season opener and made the call to allow them to participate in the home opener with their teammates. Both will fulfill the rest of their penalty by sitting out one of the first two conference ballgames.”
