Mountaineers report for camp
by Staff Reports
Appalachian
State's football team officially reported for fall camp Thursday, 30 days
before the Mountaineers open the 2012 campaign at East Carolina.
Ninety-four of the 95 players on the camp roster have been on campus since
early July, taking classes and participating in strength training, conditioning
and player-led practice sessions. However, Thursday's report date marks the
first opportunity for players to move into dormitories as well as the first
full team meal and team meeting of the season.
Appalachian will hold the first of 29 practices leading up to the season opener
at ECU on Friday. All practices are closed to the general
public.
