Appalachian State kicker Sam Martin was named the Southern Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Martin hit all four of his field goal attempts from distances of 27, 47, 19 and 32 yards. He also booted a punt of 62 yards that the Mountaineers down at the Furman 1-yard line. He averaged 50.5 yards on four punts, and had a 46.8-yard net average. Two of his kicks were inside the 20 yards line.
