Watauga's Demetre Kostis reached the second round of the state 4-A wrestling tournament Thursday when his opponent, Tiu Rahlan of Raleigh Broughton, forfeited.

Kostis saw his record improve to 50-0. He is the No. 1 seed from the West Regional.

Kostis will wrestle in the winner's bracket Friday.
