Ingle to be inducted into SAL Hall on June 17

Former Appalachian State standout Randy Ingle will be inducted into the South Atlantic League Hall of Fame during a ceremony on June 17 in Hickory.
The Crawdads are also hosting the 2014 South Atlantic League All-Star Game on June 17.
Ingle was the manager of the Rome Braves from 2006-10 and
from 2012-13. Ingle, who played at Appalachian State from 1977-79, still holds
the program's records for single season batting average (.477) and career
batting average (.404).
He is the only Mountaineer to hold a career average of over .400.
Ingle is the current manager of the Danville Braves, the Atlanta Braves' rookie-A team in the Appalachian League.
Ingle, who is in his 23rd season as a manager of a
team in the Braves'organization, is also a development assistant.
Ingle's best season in Rome was 2013, when the Braves went 73-66.
Ingle was drafted by the Braves in the 14th round of the 1979 amater draft.
