Fan Fest takes place Aug. 18

by Staff Reports

Appalachian State's football program will host its Fan Fest event Aug. 18 at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

The Southern rock band NeedToBreathe will highlight the event. The band will follow the Mountaineers' intrasquad scrimmage, which begins at 6 p.m. The gates at Kidd Brewer Stadium open at 4 p.m.

Appalachian State players and coaches will be available for autographs and for taking photos with fans. Fans will also be allowed access to the Kidd Brewer Stadium field. There will be face panting by ASU cheerleaders, and inflatable rides for kids.

Admission to the event is free for ASU students and for Appalachian State football season ticket holders.

General admission tickets for non-season ticker holders are $10. They go on sale Aug. 7, and can be purchased by calling the ticket office at 828-262-2079 or online at goasu.com.

Fans will be allowed to come and go from the event. Anybody who leaves will receive a wristband for re-entry.

Fans are also allowed to tailgate in the following parking lots: Champions, Raley, Greenwood, Stadium and the Rivers Street Parking Deck.
