MORGANTON — Watauga lost 3-2 to Alexander Central in the finals of the Freedom Invitational Tournament at Catawba Valley Soccer Complex.

The Pioneers slipped to 1-2-1 overall. Watauga a goal from Tristin Derrick on an assist from Lillie Brady, and a goal from Younger on a penalty kick.

Watauga plays at Ashe County on Monday, March 25. The junior varsity is scheduled to start at 5:15 p.m., while the varsity begins at 7.
