Colts release Corey Lynch

The Indianapolis Colts released former Appalachian State safety Corey Lynch Friday.
Lynch was on the Colts' injured reserve list, where he was placed on June 13. He was signed by the Colts on Nov. 27, 2013.
Lynch played in five games with the Colts last season. He had six special teams tackles during the regular season and three special teams tackles in two postseason games. He also had two tackles on defense in the playoffs.
Lynch, who has had stops in Cincinnati, Tampa Bay and San Diego, played the first three games of the 2013 season with the Tennessee Titans before being released on Nov. 22.
