by Staff Reports

Bandys guard Madi Story followed through on her commitment and signed a letter of intent to play at Appalachian State on Wednesday, according to the Hickory Daily Record.

Story, who stands 6-foot, averaged 18 points per game in her junior year and 17.7 during her career. She is a 53-percent shooter and her teams have won 82 of the 92 games they've played.

She also has Appalachian State ties. Her mother, Mitzi (Yount) Story played at App State from 1988-92. One of Madi Story's prep coaches is Beth (Laney) Queen, who played from 1985-88 and finished her career at App State sixth on the career scoring list with 1,373 points, an average of 12.0 per game.

The Daily Record said Story made a verbal commitment last year.
