App State beats Norfolk State, Sam Houston State

Appalachian State's volleyball dominated the Appalachian Invitational by winning two matches Saturday to win the tournament, which was held at the Holmes Center.
The Mountaneers beat Sam Houston State 3-0 and followed with a 3-0 win over Norfolk
The Mountaineers (3-0) beat Norfolk State 25-18, 25-11 and 25-14. Emily Corrigan led the Appalachian State offense with 12 kills, while Jess Keller had nine kills on 12 attempts. Lindsey Sauls added eight kills.
Paige Brown dished out 37 assists. Meghan Manoney had 11 digs defensively, while Corrigan added 10.
The Mountaineers committed just four errors on 74 total attacks, while Norfolk State (2-1) recorded 23 errors on 96 total attacks.
Keller and Corrigan each had nine kills for the Mountaineers against Sam Houston State. Brown had 27 assists and Mahoney had 21 digs.
Mahoney was the Most Valuable Player for the tournament. Corrigan and
Keller were named to the All-Tournament team.
