ASU women beat College of Charleston

The Mountaineers (11-3, 5-1 SoCon) held College of Charleston to 28.6 shooting from the field overall, including 22.2 percent in the second half. College of Charleston struggled from 3-point range by making 4-of-30 from that range.
Appalachian State won its third straight game and beat College of Charleston for the eighth straight time.
The Mountaineers got 21 points from Maryah Sydnor, who made all eight of her foul shots. Anna Freeman had 17 points, while Courtney Freeman scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.
The Mountaineers were tied 52-52 when Anna Freeman hit a 3-point shot to put the Mountaineers up by three. Courtney Freeman added another basket to put the Mountaineers in front 57-52.
Sydnor made six straight foul shots to ice the victory.
Megan Fischer led College of Charleston with 12 points.
Appalachian State hosts UNC Greensboro at 2 p.m. Sunday.
