Virginia W. Heaton

Virginia W. Heaton, 85, of Kings Mountain, N.C., passed away April 3, 2014, at her home.  
She was born in Avery Co., N.C. to the late James Spencer Warren and Pearl Brotherton Warren.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Warren; and sister, Lois Warren.  Virginia was a member of First Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. She was a former secretary to the principal of Columbia High School in Decatur, Ga. for fifteen years and was manager/supervisor with Telephone Answering Service for 20 years.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver who will be greatly missed.  
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Allen Heaton of Kings Mountain, N.C.; son, David Allen Heaton and wife, Tana, of Kings Mountain, N.C.; daughters, Jane Honeycutt and husband, Danny, of Matthews, N.C. and Judy Tuttle and husband, Tom, of Browns Summit, N.C.; brothers, Tom Warren and wife, Mary, of Ocala, Fla., and Jimmy Warren and wife, Lula, of Mountain City, Tenn.; sister, Joyce May and husband, Dennis of Vilas, N.C.; seven  grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Dr. John Sloan officiating. Graveside service, Sunday, April 6, at 2 p.m. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Vilas, NC.
