Viola Gertrude Bingham

Viola Gertrude Bingham died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, holding the hands of her daughters, Crettie Linda, Luisa Almedia, Anita Gertrude, and Tina Viola.

Seven grandchildren also survive, David William, Matthew Paul, Catherine Ashley, Sarah Anne, Mary Luisa, Rachel Marie and Adam Joseph; and one granddaughter-in-law, Stacy Eileen; two siblings, Ira J. Bingham Jr. and wife, Virginia, and Bonnie Cashion; four sons-in-law, Stanley McGrady, J. Timothy Wilson, David P. Elliott and D. Keith Moore Jr.

Born Sept. 10, 1928, in Watauga County, she was a daughter of the late Ira Jeptha Bingham and Gertrude Puckett Bingham.

Graveside services will be conducted1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Rutherwood Baptist Church Cemetery. She will be buried with Bingham family, aunt Crettie, aunt Almedia, uncle David, grandfather Ferdinand Duvault and grandmother Matilda.

Psalms 116:15, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."
