Velma Warren Hall
Mrs. Velma Warren Hall, 92, of Silverstone Road, Zionville, passed away Sunday morning, Sept. 30, 2012, at home.
Born July 5, 1920, in Clinchfield, Va., she was a daughter of the late Chalie Luke and Virgie Ella Perry Warren. Mrs. Hall was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and volunteered with Project on Aging and Hospice.
She is survived by her children, Harold Hall and wife, Julia, of Woodbridge, Va., Allen Hall of Zionville, and Vedenia Sue Hall Austin and husband, Jack, of Vilas; three brothers, Charlie Warren and wife, Larona, and Perry Warren, all of Arizona, and Jim Warren and wife, Rose, of Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Sharon Ella Houck and husband, Barry, Charlie Caldwell and wife, Katie, Margaret Hall, Audrey Strough, Allen A. Hall, Caryll Sue Hall, Jack Austin III, and Amber Austin; 18 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Amory W. Hall; one daughter, Roemilda Caldwell; two sisters, Fannie Shook and Virginia Warren; and one brother, Russell Warren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Hall will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Toby Oliver and Allen Hall. Entombment will follow at the Zionville Mausoleum. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to High Country Health Care System Hospice, 400 Shadowline Drive, Suite 100-B, Boone, N.C. 28607.
