Shirley Marie Stainback Inscoe

Mrs. Shirley Marie Stainback Inscoe, 76, of Boone, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at the Blowing Rock Extended Care.

Born Sept. 3, 1936, in Vance County, Shirley was a daughter of the late Murtie Lee and Nora Mae Ayscue Stainback. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Moss and Nell Hope; and three brothers, Carl Stainback, Wille Lee Stainback and Milton Stainback.

Survivors include her children, Lisa English of Boone, and Lee Inscoe, wife, Mary Leigh, of Louisburg; four sisters, Annie Mae Fuller, Elaine Reavis, Polly Averette and Mary Pearce; one brother, George Stainback; six grandchildren, Landis Hall, Heather Edmisten, Lucas English, Holly English, Jennifer Baker and Anna Inscoe; thee great-grandchildren, Mason Edmisten, Lana Hall and Landin Hall; Shirley is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Louisburg with the Rev. Ray Pearce officiating.
