Roger Crisp Mills
Roger Crisp Mills, 65, Zionville, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
He was a resident of the Roan Highlands Nursing Center, Roan Mountain, Tenn. A native of Caldwell County, he was a son of the late James Lee and Goldie Crisp Mills.
He was a 1964 graduate of Happy Valley High School, Lenior. He had been a resident of Watauga County for a number of years. Mr. Mills was retired from the Sealed Air Corporation, Patterson. He had served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Apolostic Church of Vilas, Vilas, North Carolina.
Survivors include his wife Donna White Mills; daughter, Maria Smith, Zionville; son: Steve Fox and his wife, Kim, Blowing Rock; three grandchildren, Caden Smith, Amanda Fox and Ashlyn Fox.
Graveside Services were conducted 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery, Johnson City, Tenn., with Pastor Terry Carver officiating. Burial followed the service. Music was provided by Pam Snyder. Military Honors were provided by the American Legion.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Mills to the Apolostic Church of Vilas, 185 Robin Lane, Vilas, NC 28692.
