Marylan Jean Cutter Priebe

Marylan Jean (Cutter) Priebe, 84, of Triplett, died September 14, 2012, in Houston, Texas.

She was born Aug. 22, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Bertelle Cutter.

Mrs. Priebe was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Roy R. Priebe. She was a member of CrossPoint Community Church (formerly Westminster Presbyterian) in Boone.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Wilms and husband, Bruce, of Williamsburg, Va., and Sue Sacco and husband, Chuck, of Houston, Texas; two sons, Jim Priebe and wife, Kathy, of Dorset, Ohio, and Dan Priebe and wife, Pam, of Willowick, Ohio; two sisters, Elaine Cutter Wahrenberger, of Erie, Pa., and Betty Cutter Bowman, of Schaumburg, Ill.; and her brother-in-law, George Priebe, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at CrossPoint Community Church, 132 Council Street in Boone, with Pastor Chuck Berry officiating. Burial was held in Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stewart Simmons Volunteer Fire Department and our First Responders, in care of Doug Berry, 819 Jake's Mountain Road, Deep Gap, N.C. 28618.
