Marie Norris Greer, 82, of 938 Tater Hill Road, Zionville, died Monday afternoon, June 25, 2012, at Watauga Medical Center.

Mrs. Greer was born April 28, 1930, in Watauga County, a daughter of the late Clifford Dewitt Norris and Bessie Reese Norris. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher.

Mrs. Greer is survived by her husband, Ralph C. Greer, of the home, and one sister-in-law, June Norris, of Vilas. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Franklin Norris, and one sister, Norma Lee Norris.

Funeral services for Marie Norris Greer will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28th, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Derick Wilson and the Reverend Steve Leashomb officiating. Burial will follow in Union Baptist Cemetery in Zionville. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6p.m. - 8 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel.
