Marie Huffman, 76, formerly of Vilas NC went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at her residence following a period of declining health.

She was always praising God and loved Gospel music. She is survived by her husband, Marcus Huffman; two daughters, Linda Lyall and husband, Randy, of West Jefferson, Wanda Blazer and husband, Michael of Burnsville; two sons, Kenneth Presnell of Glen Alpine and Melvin Presnell of Banner Elk, 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Love of Boone, Noah Love of Morganton and David Love of Newland; sisters, Mary Lee Ward of Sugar Grove, Dovie Worodard of Florida and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister and one brother.

The service was held at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 30th at First Baptist Church of Glen Alpine with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Burial followed in Glen Alpine Cemetery. Sossoman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
