Macy Sutton Rucks, Sr.

Macy "Diddy" Sutton Rucks, Sr., 73, of Okeechobee, Fl., died March 5, 2014.   
Mr. Rucks was born August 22, 1940, in Fort Payne, Ala. to Emmett and Glenn Sutton Rucks.  A resident of Okeechobee for 55 years, he was a member of Oakview Baptist Church.  He started Dry Lake Dairy with his father, mother and brothers which then led to Milking R Dairy.  He enjoyed volunteering at his church and summering in North Carolina.
Mr. Rucks was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Revels and brother, Boyd Rucks.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Wanda Rucks; son, Macy Sutton Rucks, Jr. (Kris); two daughters, Robin Bailey (Chris) and Julie Kotula (Pete), all of Okeechobee; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Neil Rucks (Rita) of Dade City and Charlie Rucks (Susan) of Lake Placid; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Rucks of Okeechobee; son-in-law, Gary Revels.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014, at Oakview Baptist Church with Pastor John Garrison and Dr. Chan Garrett officiating.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
