Lucas Anthony Crysel

Mr. Lucas Anthony Crysel, 34, of Boone, formerly of Wilkes County, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center.

Mr. Crysel was born Feb. 23, 1979, in Watauga County to William Steven and Sandy Wilson Crysel. He was a member of Wilkesboro Baptist Church; he loved fishing, softball, golf and was an avid sportsman.

Mr. Crysel was preceded in death by his grandparents, William "Bill" and Willa Mae Crysel, and Ray and Myrtle Wilson.

Surviving are his son, Judd Crysel of the home; his father, Steve Crysel and wife, Nan, of Moravian Falls; his mother, Sandy Wicker and husband, Chip, of Boone; two brothers, Brent Crysel and Bradley Crysel, both of Moravian Falls; two sisters, Courtney Brown and husband, Brian, of Purlear, Tara Virginia and husband, Steve, of Nashville, Tenn.; nephew, Braxton Brown of Purlear; niece, Staci Brown of Purlear; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Moravian Falls Baptist Church with the Rev. Byron Greene and the Rev. Jack Calloway officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday night.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Miller Funeral Service to help with funeral expenses.
