Laura Yates Bolick

Laura Yates Bolick, 54, of Lenoir passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. She was a loving mother, wife, and her three grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Mrs. Bolick was born in Caldwell County to Albert Yates and the late Virginia Love Yates. She was retired from the Caldwell County School System where she served as the lead secretary for Collettsville Elementary School for over 20 years. She also was a member of Setzer Creek Baptist Church where she was a choir member and a member of WMU and Bible School director.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Howard Pumroy Bolick; her daughter, Jennifer Bolick Beaver and husband, Robbie, of Lenoir; her brothers, Milton Yates and wife, Brenda, of Orlando, Fla., and Maurice Yates of Lenoir; her sisters, Linda Graybeal and husband, Wayne, of Boone, Jan Greene and husband, Mike, of Lenoir, and Becky McCall and husband, Brent, of Lenoir; three grandchildren, Kayla Beaver, Emma Beaver and Ava Beaver.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Setzer Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Teague and the Rev. Tim Greene officiating. The burial will follow at the Bolick Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012. Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Graybeal, Jeff Graybeal, Alan Yates, Hayden Robbins, Mark Yates, Bryan Greene, Zachary McCall and Adam Robbins.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
