Keith Curtis Keal

Keith Curtis Keal, 49, of Sunrise Vista Lane, Banner Elk, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012.

Keith was born Aug. 8, 1963, in Euclid, Ohio, a son of Irene Mandell and the late Walter Curtis Keal. He was manager of High Country 4x4 in Boone. Keith was wonderful man, loving father, and patient teacher. Keith was the most giving man ever known. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, acquaintances, and most of all, his beloved wife.

Mr. Keal is survived by his wife, Karen Mendler of the home; two sons, Kevin Keal and Garrett Keal, both of Charlotte; two step-sons, Richard Mendler of Banner Elk, and William Rock of Wyoming, Mich.; two step-daughters, Danielle Mendler of Banner Elk, and Brandy Wessels of Walker, Minn.; one step-granddaughter, Sierra Wessels of Walker, Minn.; two step-grandsons, Chris Rock of Wyoming, Mich., and Jade Rock of Wyoming, Mich.; his mother, Irene Mandell of Eagle Harbor, Fla.; two sisters, Dale Nichols of Phoenix, Ariz., and Carol Struder of Jacksonville, Fla.; and one brother, Curtis Keal of Ohio.

Funeral services for Keith Curtis Keal will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. The body will lie in state at the chapel from 1 to 2 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Gordon Noble.

The family will receive friends 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
