James 'Jim' Caudill

Mr. James Russell "Jim" Caudill, 68, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Glencoe United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed McKinney officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery.
Jim was born in Surry County on Jan. 26, 1945, the son of the late Jack Leon Sr. and Estelle Williams Caudill. He attended Glencoe United Methodist Church and was a former employee of the Guilford County School System and the UNC-G Campus Police Department. Jim was a friend to all who knew him in the Glencoe Community. He was a spiritual person who loved God and all of His creation, especially flowers and animals. He was also a talented artist.
Surviving are his brothers Jack L. Caudill Jr. and his wife, Elisabeth, of McLeansville and Stephen R. Caudill and his wife, Betty, of Lexington; niece Jacqueline Caudill DePoli of W. Melbourne, Fla.; godson and nephew James William Caudill of Wilmington; nephews, John Dewey Caudill of Wilmington, Perry C. Caudill of Gibsonville, Stephen R. Caudill, II of Atlanta,Ga., Wesley B. Caudill of Raleigh, and Daniel P. Caudill of Atlanta, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Kirby Caudill, in 2010, and a brother John W. Caudill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glencoe United Methodist Church, 601 Glencoe Church Loop, Summerfield, NC  27358, or Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
