Hattie Mae Vines

Hattie Mae Vines, (Granny), 99, of Charlotte passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Oct. 30, 2013.

She was born Oct. 2, 1914 in Watauga County, daughter of the late E. F. Vines and Mary Ann Johnson Vines.

She is survived by three children, son, Ned Vines (Sheila) of Clover, S.C.,; two daughters, Jo Vines Thomas of Clover, and Linda Vines Hammonds of Charlotte; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, Pastor Danny Griffin officiating. Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
