Geneva Woodfin White

Geneva Woodfin White, 76, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013, peacefully at home.
She was born in Spartanburg County, S.C. to the late Ralph William and Hope Hibbard Woodfin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" White; and sister, Lois Jean Voight.
Geneva was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Gastonia and a long time member of Stateline Baptist Church in Mountain City, Tenn. She taught in public schools for 43 years.
Survivors include her son, Kevin White and wife, Sue, of Charlotte; daughter, Janice Olson of Spruce Pine; brother, James Woodfin and wife, Bonnie, of Covington, Ky.; grandchildren, Lindsey Hardy and Kayla Hardy of Spruce Pine, Katelyn White of Gastonia, Mackenzie White of Cramerton, and their mother Jodi Anderson of Cramerton; step-grandchildren, Stephanie Southard and husband, Deems, of Belmont, Steven Miller and wife, Aubrey, of Cherryville; great-grandchildren, Hailey Bean and Victoria; and step-great grandchild, Henry.
The family will receive friends 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013, at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia. The memorial service will follow the visitation at 3:30 pm in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors with the Rev. Johnny Wilson officiating. A private inurnment will be at a later date.
