Mr. Frederick Ernest Loeb, 69, of West Jefferson, NC died on Monday, August 13, 2012, at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, N.C. Mr. Loeb was born on April 9, 1943, in Mich., to Christian and Freida Isabelle Loeb. Mr. Loeb was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Loeb loved gardening, working in his yard, fishing and hunting.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Lloyd Day. Burial will follow in Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the service.

Mr. Loeb is survived by his wife, Phyllis Loeb; five sons, Frederick Wayne Loeb and wife, Peggy, Chris Loeb, William Loeb, James Loeb and wife, Teresa, Roger Malone and wife, Sharon, all of DE; one daughter, Katherine Main and husband, Jeffery, of Shady Valley, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
