Emma Jo Teague Miller, 73 of 315 Jim McNeil Road, Boone, died Sunday, January 29, 2012, at her home.

Ms. Miller was born August 3, 1938, in Watauga County, a daughter of the late Frank and Ann McNeil Teague. She was a homemaker and an employee of Shadowline, Inc.

Ms. Miller is survived by two sons, Gerald Warren of Vilas and David Edmisten of Boone; one daughter, Cynthia Lowrance and husband, Jeff, of Boone; one granddaughter, Rachel Warren of West Jefferson; two grandsons, Mason Lowrance and Caleb Lowrance, both of Boone; and two sisters, Rachel Miller and husband, Fred, of Boone, and Frankie T. Day of Panama Beach, Florida. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be conducted 6 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012, at at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Brian Barker, 441 Daniel Drive, Boone, North Carolina 28607.
