Elise Foster Mauney
Elise "Fidget" Foster Mauney, 92, of 8109 Jamison Place Court,
in Charlotte, formally of 925 East Park Drive, in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, June 5,
2012.
A graveside service was held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, in the Blowing Rock Cemetery with entombment following.
Mrs. Mauney was born February 12, 1920, in Watauga County to the late James M. and Mary Baladwin Foster. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, J. Howard Mauney Jr. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Marcia Elise Mauney Harkey and husband, Ted, of Midland, and Nancy Lee Mauney Diebold and husband, John, of Charlotte; one sister, Janice Muriel Foster of Blowing Rock; two grandchildren, Angie Capri Harkey Hastings and Christine Renee' Murphy McKinney; and five great-grandchildren, Brittany Elise McKinney, Matthew Alan Hastings, Kassie Capri Hastings, Stephanie Marie McKinney, and Michael David Hastings. Others survivors include nieces, Tonya Poplin, Kara Metts, Isabella Metts, Betty Baker and husband, Bill, Jeannie Bennett and her children, and Sue Moore and husband, Floyd.
