Edward Council Harmon
Mr. Edward Council Harmon, 66, of Peoria Road, Sugar Grove, passed away Sunday afternoon, Sept. 22, 2013, at Watauga Medical Center.
Born Oct. 19, 1946, he was a son of the late Danville and Bina Cornett Harmon. Edward was a retired carpenter and a member of Green Valley Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Wiseman Harmon; two sons, Tony Harmon and wife, Kim, of Apex, and Terry Harmon and wife, Ruthie, of Banner Elk; two sisters, Helen Warren and husband, Roy, and Betty Presnell and husband Alvin, all of Sugar Grove; two brothers, Billy Harmon and wife, Shelby, and Tommy Harmon and wife, Linda, of Sugar Grove; one granddaughter, Katelyn Harmon; four grandsons, Joshua Harmon and wife, Stephanie, and Hunter, Benjamin and Grayson Harmon; one great-grandson, Jacob Harmon; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Rominger; one brother in law, Larry Rominger; and two half-brothers, Carson Cornett and Jimmy Watson.
Graveside services for Mr. Edward Council Harmon will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at the Green Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Eric Cornett, the Rev. David Ward and the Rev. Donnie Tester.
