Dr. Ronald Morris Perry

Dr. Ronald Morris Perry, 59, of Valle Crucis, passed away Sunday night at Watauga Medical Center. Born November 5, 1952, in Wilson, he was the son of the late Harland Griffin Perry and Margaret Eggers Perry. Dr. Perry was a 1975 graduate of Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Accounting and received his Masters in 1976 in Human Development and Psychology Counseling. Dr. Perry received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Life in Marietta, Ga. in 1992. Ever the student, he taught and attended seminars all over the world. Dr. Perry practiced in Boca Raton, Fla. specializing in Patters of Physical Transformation and the Feldenkrais method. He had a special love for homeless animals, especially cats.

He is survived by his wife, Dr. Edie Perry, of Valle Crucis and his mother, Margaret Eggers Perry; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Harland Griffin Perry.

Funeral services for Dr. Perry will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. George Miles. Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 11 a.m Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times, friends may call at the residence of Margaret Eggers Perry.
