Dorothy Brown Pearce

Dorothy Brown Pearce of Charlotte County, Florida and formally of Greensboro, passed away Wednesday March 27, 2013, in Port Charlotte, Fla. She was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Watauga County.

Dorothy was an amazing, caring woman to her family friends and community for many years. We wish her peace and will always remember her for the love of her family and strong Christian beliefs.

She is survived by her two sons, J. Donald Pearce and wife, Carol, of Chipley Fla., Paul Douglas Pearce I of Fort Myers, Fla.; one daughter, Elizabeth P. Quinn of Port Charlotte; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Percy P. Pearce; her mother and father, Arlie and Ora Brown; three brothers and sisters, Glenn, Tracey, Gordon and Daphna. Her son, Albert D Pearce; daughter in law, Elizabeth Pearce; and grandson, Paul D. Pearce II

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Kay's-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Boulevard, and immediately following will be graveside at Royal Palm Cemetery, 27200 Jones Loop Road Punta Gorda, Fla.
