David Winebarger

David Winebarger, 60, of Hopewell Church Road, Boone, died Thursday morning, Dec. 20, 2012, at his home.

David was born Oct. 10, 1952, in Watauga County, a son of Vernita Bryant Winebarger and the late Walter M. Winebarger. He was a retired timber cutter and a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

David is survived by his wife, Rachel "Becky" Norris Winebarger of the home; one daughter, Patsy Winebarger Hendricks and husband, Wilbert, of El Paso, Texas; one granddaughter, Neoami Hendricks of El Paso; two grandsons, Jordan Hendricks and Marques Spencer, both of El Paso; his mother, Vernita Bryant Winebarger of Boone; one sister, Anne Winebarger Norris of Boone, and two brothers, Allen Winebarger and Dale Winebarger, both of Boone. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by Deborah Winebarger, and one brother, Thomas Winebarger.

Funeral services for David Winebarger were conducted Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Bollinger and Pastor Jerry Moretz officiating. Burial was in Winebarger Cemetery.
