Christopher Alan Brubaker

Mr. Christopher Alan "Chris" Brubaker, 23, of 134 Oak Leaf Trail, Boone, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in Boone.

Chris was a graduate of Watauga High School, where he was a member of the soccer team. He was an avid skier and he enjoyed spending time on the family pontoon boat at Watauga Lake where he enjoyed being with his friends. Chris was employed at Pepper's Restautant and The Black Cat Restaurant, and was a member of Boone United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his father and mother, John M. Brubaker and Sandra Lyon Brubaker, of Boone; his brother, John Michael Brubaker, of Greensboro; and his beloved pet and best friend, Tank.

A celebration of Chris's life will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Boone United Methodist Church and will be officiated by Jason Byassee and Jeff McClain.

Following the celebration of Chris's life a gathering of family and friends will be held in the fellowship hall of the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, (JDRF), Piedmont Triad Chapter, 408 North Eugene Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 or the Watauga Humane Society, P.O. Box 1835, Boone, NC 28607.
