Charles 'Henry' Lowrance
Charles "Henry" Lowrance, 83 of Claremont passed away Saturday Nov. 16, 2013, at his residence.
Born Dec. 9, 1929, in Watauga County, he was the son of the late Joe Henderson and Hattie Tester Lowrance.
Henry loved his church, served as a deacon and chairman of the deacons, was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors working in his yard and sharing his garden.
Surviving are, his wife of 55 years, Wilma Beach Lowrance of the home; son, Jeff Lowrance and wife, Janice, of Mooresville; brother, Jimmy Lowrance of Boone; and two granddaughters, Anna and Avery Lowrance
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Weldon Lowrance; three sisters, Thelma Shook, Mable Reese and Edith Lowrance and four brothers, Melvin, Marvin, Ralph and Frank Lowrance.
Services for Charles Henry Lowrance were held Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Claremont.
