Burl Ervin Huff

Mr. Burl Ervin Huff, 82, of Greensboro, died peacefully Sunday morning, Oct. 14, 2012, at Whitestone, a Masonic and Eastern Star community in Greensboro.
Mr. Huff was retired from a long history in the automobile industry in NC, including Huff Motors, Huff Ford Tractor, Huff Chrysler Plymouth and Mack Brown, Inc. A proud Mason, he dedicated 50 plus years to the Masonic Order as a member of Snow Lodge #363 in Boone, NC. He was also a founding member of Deerfield United Methodist Church in Boone. A friend to all, also known as "Papa Huff".
Mr. Huff is survived by two daughters, Sarah Doty and husband, Joe Doty, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Donna Huff Naylor and husband, Dwayne Naylor, of Newport News, Va.; and one son, Gerald Huff and wife ,Jeannette, of Boone. He is also survived by four brothers, Earl T. Huff of Oklahoma City, Oka., Kyle C. Huff of Sparta, George E. Huff of Morganton, and Jimmy D. Huff of North Wilkesboro; and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Baker of Fleetwood. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Vicki Wilcox of Springfield, Va., Doelan Wilcox and wife, Terri, of St. Louis, Mo., Eric Huff and wife, Jodi, and Todd Huff and fiance', Amanda Farthing, of Boone, and Mackenzie Naylor and Zachary Naylor of Newport News, Va.; four great grandchildren, Allyson and Garrett Wilcox, Ella and Walker Huff, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack Huff, Bob Huff and Claude Huff; and one sister, Lillian Huff.
Funeral services for Burl E. Huff were conducted Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 16, 2012, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. Masonic graveside rites and burial followed in Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens.
